Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is a programming language closely resembling Visual Basic, yet it is specifically embedded within individual Microsoft applications such as Excel and Access. VBA enables users to develop macros or small programs that facilitate various tasks within these Microsoft applications.

VBA is integrated into most Microsoft Office applications, including the Mac OS X version of Office (with the exception of version 2008). Additionally, VBA can be found in other Microsoft products such as Microsoft MapPoint and Microsoft Visio. Notably, it is also partially implemented in applications from various third-party vendors, including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, CorelDraw, LibreOffice, Reflection, SolidWorks, and WordPerfect.
